Goodbye for now, Ms Dottie Rambo

We have just returned from the Home-Going Celebration service for Dottie Rambo. As you travel your whole life on a bus with other groups and individuals you sometimes forget the magnitude of talent the Lord has given them. I loved Dottie as a friend and she was always so kind to me and continually encouraging.

We Speak Your Name

God has really been good and we have so much to be thankful for, we just bless His Name! Wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that our first release to radio in over 3 years has just been shipped out. "We Speak Your Name" is the title of the song and we feel like it will be an encouragement to many. God is already using the message in this song to strengthen the faith of many discouraged believers. We've already heard testimonies from several that have heard the song.

Let This Mind Be In You

Here are some questions most everyone can relate to. Ever been talked about? How about lied on? Maybe you’ve been scorned or hurt by something someone has said about you. I’m sure that most everyone reading this entry can say yes-yes-yes, to all of these questions. I think we all would agree that it’s very hurtful to go through such things especially if it’s by those whom you love, those whom you’ve tried to help and those whom you’ve given to, all the while expecting nothing in return other than a Godly relationship or an honest friendship. What do we do when such things arise?

When I consider....

Psalms 8: 3-5“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou has made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.”“When I consider…..” that’s so much to meditate upon. When I consider…the sun is 90 million miles away from earth and yet it only takes its light and warmth only 8 minutes to travel that distance. When I consider that the sun is the perfect distance from the earth and if it were one inch closer we would be burned up and if were one inch further away we would freeze up. When I consider that God just flings the trillions upon trillions of stars into space with His fingers and then He names every single one. When I consider that the moon is the perfect distance away from the earth to control the ocean tides and to keep them at bay. When I consider that if the axis of the earth were just 1 degree off, we would just fly hopelessly into outer-orbit and would perish. When I consider the vast expanse of God’s creation, even the creation beyond this planet we live upon, beyond this galaxy that earth dwells within, it makes me wonder how God could be concerned for people who constantly disappoint him. When I consider the Great Creator, Star-Shaper, Life Giver, Life Sustainer, and to think of His love that’s been demonstrated to each of us, that is convicting to me!!

His Cancer Is Gone!!!

We had the awesome privilege of being in revival last night with our friend Dr. Fred Luter. You may recognize him as being the Pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Luter’s message is one of hope and encouragement with a special anointing from a man who has been through the howling storms of life and “Hurricane Katrina”. It amazes me to see God move in such a powerful way as He has lately!! There’s a friend of ours that serves on our music team at Grace who has been battling cancer for almost a year. As the situation began to grow dark and gloomy in his life, health and finances, he called upon the elders of our church to anoint him with oil and pray a prayer of faith on his behalf. That was a couple of weeks ago and yesterday while at the doctor’s office preparing for another round of chemo/radiation the doctor came back with “miraculous” news. HIS CANCER IS GONE!!! Glory be to God his cancer is gone!!!

God’s Little Encourager

We have hundreds of children on campus here at our church everyday, even throughout the summer with our summer-camp programs. They are great and I love to watch and listen to them just enjoying life. There’s one little girl named Amiyah that is going into the first grade who especially encourages me each time I pass her and her classmates out on the sidewalk. She yells “Mr. Jason, Mr. Jason!”
